What are the odds?
« on: April 22, 2019, 09:23:14 PM »
I play Pick 4 lotto regularly.  Same numbers every drawing.  The odds to hit is 1 in 10,000.  There are 676 drawings in a year.  What would be the odds if you play all 676 drawings?

The equation to find the chance of winning is:

1 - (chance of losing) = 1 - (9999/10000)^676 = 0,065 = 65/1000 = 6,5%

Btw, doesn't matter if you play the same or different numbers.
