TRILOBITE, January 02, page 1, I relaunched this topic with a response proposal "progression or flat bet?". As you have an opinion on the question, I suggest you read my proposal and give your opinion.
A second proposal to discuss. With flat betting we know the number of units for a method with positive  expectation. But to calculate this with a non-mechanical progression is difficult. And if we do not know exactly how many units are needed for his method it's a big problem (amateurism!).
I say this because many players say "yes" to progression without knowing how many units are needed. I know, the wheel is a game of chance and entertainment, but I think players want to win in the end! Thank you for your answers

flat bet 1 unit until new bankroll high.

Never have UNTIL in your rules of play, its a BR killer. Thats Roulette 101.

"Until A or B sounds ok" >> I dont even agree with that.
What if both A and B were a very very long time until...................................?  "Until" means, keep on going REGARDLESS of how much you have ALREADY lost.  I dont care for it. (imo)

The fact that "B" exists is really a symbol for as many events as you need to properly cover the eventualities sufficiently to generate a profit long term, in a way that is as fully optimized as possible.

Having plan B suggests that plan A has a flaw. It's plan A 100 percent.Think about it. If you have a plan B, you have already failed.

So you never reach a new bankroll high flat betting? You just lose and lose and lose?  Your method never clicks into a winning cycle or winning period? Take up bingo mr j.

Roulette never turns left on us, so no need for "Plan B" or "Plan C"?

"Roulette never turns left on us, so no need for "Plan B" or "Plan C"?" >> I dont like UNTIL.

Good example >> bet on the 4 5 6 street UNTIL it hits, then etc. etc. UNTIL leaves too much room for a BR disaster.

Yes but if we say:

Bet on street 16-17-18 until:

A) You get a hit
B) 11 spins

There is no room for disaster there and as long as we keep a hand on the throttle, we are all good with our alphabet options?

Imo progressions are good only when it comes at extremely rare occasion ,and the wheel nothing has to do but pay u! Anything else is very dangerous and u 'll be busted big time and for big amounts , when u learn avoid , speaking personally I feel like a thief in the midnight waiting for u to sleep ...then steal all your money! ;D

Petespin, I completely agree with what you say. On the first page of this topic, on January 2nd, I calculated the advantage / disadvantage between flat betting and d'Alembert. It is difficult to understand that progressions are unfounded assumptions. Yet just look at the sites of casinos that give their spins and look for bad days.It takes a few hours to demonstrate that playing a progression is like going to sleep leaving your door open. Playing with closed eyes in flat betting is less risky than progression! Experience it !  :) :D ;D
