How many members have taken up a challenge?
« on: September 26, 2018, 01:35:17 PM »
How many members have taken up a challenge and actually met their challenger in person?

What was the outcome or reason for not turning up to honour the challenge?

What kind of challenge are you talking about?

Any type of challenge that one member has issued to another member or an open challenge to the whole forum. Mostly a challenge involves the effectiveness of a method or a comparison of play style.
Scepticus challenged AP guys for example.

What's the point of doing so?
There must be a motivation.

Sure, there must be a motivating factor to issue a challenge and I think it may differ from case to case so I'd prefer not to generalise the issue. Let the members speak for themselves if they want to but I don't think this thread will encourage the openness we are hoping for.

I said "I don't think members will open up". Only my opinion, others may prove me wrong.

Well . I have said on a number of occassions that my reason to challenge  the AP in the forum was that I did not think they were the roulette  professionals they claimed to be.

I think the only way  to prove the worth of any system/ method is by an actual demonstration at a roulette  table and betting with real money .

I am going to defend both sides......I have never agreed with this "prove it" stuff.

The sample size is way too small. Meaning, if you got your a** kicked, it does NOT mean your method sucks. It means it sucked on THAT day. If your method did great, that also means nothing. Perhaps you lucked out for THAT particular day.

True MrJ Truebut the AP claim to use casinos as ATMs  . Doesn't this clearly imply that they walk out of the casino with more money than they entered with . and that they won it at the tables ?What I am saying  here  is that,  if you  profit from roulette ,  you are more likely to win than lose on any one visit .

I thought we were talking about methods? As far as AP goes, can a person PROVE they do well with it?

A one time observation is not enough (imo). You would have to follow an AP guy around the country for a couple months in order to draw a conclusion.

For me was simply interesting to meet some and I in that time had hope that I will get some interesting talks discussions.
I met 7-8 persons , but I think from this forum, maybe are no players. That is because i wanted these which claimed that they use some AP method.
Really what i found that in reality all is more pure than what they talk in forums. Really nobody of them play professionally, as they mostly claimed in forum :) .
But anyway with some I am in very friendly relationships till now.
Really real meeting  break some ice between members.

I met not many players from forums in person( around 10). With some it even was possible to play together.  Unfortunately only 2 of them were  good players that could teach me something new. Rest of them or didn't know what it's needed to play or were doing gross mistakes like wrong target, wrong observation moment, ignoring scatter difference...ets.
I'm happy to meet new players that show promise if their attitude is right.
