Can someone please explain the Carsch progression?
« on: December 22, 2016, 01:46:29 PM »
Is the carsch and the star system the same?
I found this thread by Reyth
The Carsch Star HOT HOT HOT!!
but it would be nice to clear up the confusion between carsch, star and everything in between.

Could someone please explain the carsch approach as easy as possible?

Update: I just found the original gg thread with the description

PROGRESSION CHART

Bets/Units
1 ------------ win & parlay (lose and move on to the next bet)
1 ------------ win & parlay (lose and move on to the next bet)
2 ------------ win & repeat the same bet (In here, in order to move on to the next step, you must lose this bet the first time, or win it and then lose it twice in a row)

2 ------------ win & parlay (lose and move on to the next bet)
4 ------------ win & repeat the same bet (Lose the first time, or win then lose twice in a row to move on to the next bet)

4 ------------ win & parlay (lose and move on to the next bet)
8 ------------ win & repeat the same bet (Lose the first time, or win then lose twice in a row to move on to the next bet)

8 ------------ win & parlay (lose and move on to the next bet)
16 ---------- win & repeat the same bet (Lose the first time, or win then lose twice in a row to move on to the next bet)

16 ----------- win & parlay (lose and move on to the next bet)
32 ----------- win & repeat the same bet (Lose the first time, or win then lose twice in a row to move on to the next bet)

We can win many times, if we win and lose every second time we stay at the same some level, and it is easier to lose twice in a row than win twice. The parlay we lose some more times than win it.  I have tried it some and found it not so good. We last a bit longer than playing martingale. That means we can win but seldom much, a loss is a loss and in near all cases eat all winnings.   I learnt i a bit different, we should lose or win twice.

I was impressed by it when I got it, but never succeed using it. On an EC a loss twelve times is not rare, and more will happen.

In order to make it work, we need to be able to handle 55 successive loss events and remain standing.  As Jesper says it is an improvement over the Martingale but it still gets crushed anyway.

The post you found is the first stage.  Your bet remains the same on the first loss and after the second loss you raise according to the post.  You remain the same on chop, going up one level on two consecutive wins and down 1 level on two consecutive losses.

When you hit the bottom of the chart you begin the second stage which is then shown in my post, you can see the various stages very clearly.

From my perspective I have thought of this using a fib.

Up as you win with a fib. Cause if you get on the win train and
raise your bet and lose, you don't lose the whole thing. You can
close that run with a profit and start over again.
